Meet Petter Gustavsson, System Engineer
Petter’s education: Master of Science in Engineering, Media Technology
What do you do during a normal day at work?
I assist our customers with technical problems should they arise during operations. For the most part, I work with databases, servers and the technical portions of the systems that our customers use. No two days are alike, and I have the benefit of working with many different technologies as well as many different people. In short, one could say that it is a technically advanced position, requiring significant social skills since I work closely with both customers and colleagues.
How would you describe Sectra as a workplace?
Sectra is an intimate business that is continuously expanding. There are all kinds of great people here who are ambitious, encouraging, supportive, honest and responsive. I am encouraged in both my personal development as well as my ongoing career. Quite simply, it is a nice place to be!
I help our customers with the technical problems that arise when the systems are operating. I mainly work with databases, servers and the technical components of systems that our customers use. Very few days are alike and I have the privilege of working with many different technicians as well as lots of different people. I guess you could say that my job is technically advanced and requires a high degree of social competence since I work closely with both customers and colleagues.
Why should a person apply for a job at Sectra?
Above all, because one has a great degree of autonomy to guide one’s own development. You are also given a significant amount of freedom to organize your own workday and a lot of freedom to decide how to solve problems. People are encouraged to continually improve at what they do and the knowledge that the products we deliver are actually helping people is incredibly encouraging.
