Meet Lindsay van Ballegooij, Account Manager

What do you do during a normal day at work?
In my role as an Account Manager, I’m responsible for our business units Education, Orthopedics and Imaging IT for our Dutch market. The variation in my job makes every day look different. For example, one day I am talking to orthopedic surgeons, the other day I visit the department of radiology and another day I am at a dissection lab in conversation with anatomists. Being on the road a lot means that when I’m in the office I follow up the customer visits, answer tenders, make quotations and meet my colleagues.
What do you like most about your job?
I like to be part of a team that works hard on a maximum result in a good atmosphere in which the customer is always central. The fact that we work as 1 unit, not as separate entities, makes it a great work environment. The versatility of my job makes it challenging. As an account manager I am travelling a lot, not only in the Netherlands, but I also have regular visits to our HQ in Sweden or attend exhibitions worldwide.
In addition, I have the privilege to meet many of our (potential) customers. Customer satisfaction is high at Sectra and you notice that in the conversations you have. Our customers are passionate and take part in the development of our products. Every customer visit gives me new ideas and insights which can be taken back to my colleagues.

What are the values that drive you?
For me it is important to be able to grow as a person and expand my knowledge. At Sectra you get the opportunity to follow your ambition and develop your own career path. After working for Sectra for 7 years, healthcare became my passion. Being a part of innovations, which eventually make a difference for the patient, drives me and motivates me every day.
