Tell me about your journey at Sectra?
My journey started in October 2020 when I began working a couple days a week as a support assistant during my studies. Combining the theory from my studies with practical, real-world experience was a great way to learn, and I really valued that opportunity. Although my work at the time mostly included assisting my team in different tasks, it was highly educational since I was involved in many different projects. During the last year of my studies, I did my master’s thesis at Sectra, which focused on using process mining in the event logs of one of Sectra’s products. Analyzing this data can enable customers to use Sectra’s solutions more effectively. While doing my master’s thesis, I signed a contract for as a Support Engineer.
How did you find Sectra?
I found Sectra through my student association at the university, where I was part of the board. Sectra was the main sponsor, and I got a very good feeling about the company. I liked the people I met, their attitude and way of thinking, and that made an impact on me. After I finished my bachelor’s degree, I gave them a call—and look where it got me!

What does a typical day in Sectra’s support look like?
My days differ a lot, but I mainly work with problem-solving and troubleshooting. Customers reach out to us with all kinds of different problems, and I like how we work together as a team to solve these problems and try to prevent them from happening again. We also work with preventative measures to ensure that our customers’ systems are up and running as they are supposed to.
What are you passionate about?
Solving intricate problems and constantly learning new things. The combination of continuous personal development and the fact that our work has a direct impact on people’s lives is what motivates and inspires me.
How would you describe Sectra as a workplace?
Sectra is inclusive, uplifting and full of competent colleagues. From day one, when I first entered the office, I have felt like I am part of the team. Even though I only worked a few days a week at first, my colleagues have always made sure that I am included and up to date.
What do you like most about Sectra?
I like all the different opportunities there are at Sectra, both in my current field and other job openings, and how Sectra cares about its staff. It is clear that Sectra invests time in its employees and cares about us. They want us to develop and grow within the company, and I really appreciate that support and encouragement.

Sectra is driven by passion. The people working here always do their best. They strive to develop and are constantly pushing forward. It is truly inspiring to meet my colleagues every day.
