What made you apply for a position at Sectra?
I wanted to combine technology and the medical field with the purpose of helping people. It is also important that I can identify with the company culture and values.
How long have you been working at Sectra?
My journey within Sectra started in January 2019.

What do you do at Sectra?
At Sectra, I work as an application specialist. My work consists of providing training to end-users and familiarizing them with our products. During this process, it’s important for us to understand the users’ needs and adapt our system accordingly. After product implementation, we assist in resolving any outstanding issues.
What do you do on a typical day at work?
During a typical week, I work some days at our office while other days are spent on-site with customers. When working from the office, I prepare the training materials and e-learning content for the platform. The focus is always on the end users, so preparation differs depending on the customer requirements. For upgrades or new installation projects, I will provide on-site training and support to end-users. These projects are usually based in Portugal and Spain, but I’m also part of an international team of applications specialists. This offers me the opportunity to work and learn alongside other colleagues in big projects in other countries. Lastly, sometimes I also work as a first-line in the support team to assist customers with their issues.
What do you like most about your job?
The Sectra people and its environment. The face of a happy customer. The opportunity to grow.

I’m passionate about helping others and improving their lives – this is at the very core of who I am as a person.

How did you get into the industry?
After completing my PhD, I was looking for a job where I could utilize my medical background and explore my interest in technology. I looked at companies where I could find both of these aspects. Sectra was one of these companies and after speaking with two of my future colleagues, I was certain that I wanted to become part of the Sectra family.
